Summer’s here, and the produce is wonderful. Like most things fresh, ripe, in-season, and delicious, I follow the philosophy of “simple is best.” I was, admittedly, not a very big fan of raw tomato for a long time and sauces were the only sources of the red stuff. But, as time passes, tastes mature (it’s a metaphor).
the freshest tomato you can find + the crustiest, whole-wheatiest, multi-grainiest bread you have, toasted + mayo + fresh black pepper + coarse salt (in my case, black Hawaiian lava salt)
